From the World Chicken Festival in London, Kentucky, host, Matt Eastman searches for his next unsuspecting guest to take to Punta de Mita, Mexico. It’s an appropriate starting point because in Mexico guest Mark Blair, will be hunting down the “chicken of the sea” with one of the best tuna fishermen in the world: Captain Josh Temple.
The sizzle from the world’s largest skillet is enough to make any self-respecting fried chicken lover’s mouth water. And while the 300 pounds of cooking oil to fill it is impressive, the 361.7 lb tuna Matt and his guest catch just offshore Punta de Mita, Mexico blows that out of the water. It’s the largest yellowfin tuna caught on the planet this year and it’s the 17th biggest ever on record. Now that’s the fishing trip of a lifetime.
